Abraham Lincoln is arguably our greatest and most influential leader, as well as a fascinating and seminal figure in early Indiana history.  Danny Russel's portrayal covers all notable aspects of Lincoln's life, from his Hoosier boyhood years (age 7-21) to his remarkable accomplishments in the White House.  Alternately hilarious and heart-breaking, you'll learn about his childhood "laziness" -- he took joy in reading rather than laboring in the fields -- as well as the deaths of his mother and sister, his numerous failures in business, his career as a prairie lawyer, his courtship of Mary and the notorious leniency he displayed toward his four beloved sons, his burgeoning political aspirations, "A House Divided", the Emancipation Proclamation, and the strong faith sustaining him throughout the Civil War.  The presentation concludes with stirring renditions of the Gettysburg Address and portions of Lincoln's Second Inaugural.  Questions and answers are welcome as time permits, so come and meet our 16th President!
